AI’s Ethical Dilemma Debate Recap

Hey, tech fam! On November 9th, I had the pleasure of hosting the first edition of the AI’s Ethical Dilemma debate series at the Cozy Lab coworking space in Vancouver. This event brought together passionate minds to dig into some of AI’s biggest ethical questions. We explored thought-provoking topics like Will AI replace us (or not)? the feasibility of universal basic income, whether governments can keep up with AI’s rapid advancements, and even the rise of the one-person billion-dollar company. This wasn’t just another AI talk. We went beyond the surface and dug into the real ethical challenges and changes AI could bring to society, those coming from the people that are involved in building the future of AI.

I’m thrilled to say the event was a huge success! So many of you have been asking for another round, and I’m excited to announce that we’ll be hosting a follow-up debate edition in December. We’re going even bigger for the next edition in December! We’ll take an even deeper dive into the ethics of AI and how it influences every layer of society. This isn’t just an event—it’s becoming a growing community of like-minded thinkers committed to understanding and shaping the future of AI.

Personally, building a community around these discussions is beyond meaningful. Creating a space where like-minded people can come together, exchange ideas, and grow together is something I truly value. Thank you to everyone who came, shared, and contributed. I can’t wait to see where this journey takes us!
